On 21 October 2026, project coordinator Adriano Sciacovelli presented AVANGUARD at the European Climate and Energy Modelling Platform (ECEMP) in Brussels.
The event marked AVANGUARD’s first public-facing speaking engagement, and offered the chance to reach out to energy stakeholders in the audience, such as regulators, NGOs and academics.
Prof. Sciacovelli spoke at the “Robust technology portfolios for a resilient future energy system” plenary session, following an invitation from AVANGUARD sister project PowerMAX.
Every year, ECEMP gathers researchers and policymakers working at the forefront of climate and energy modelling in Europe.
Hosted by the EU Joint Research Centre, ECEMP is a forum for discussing how modelling can support Europe’s transition towards a sustainable, secure, and competitive energy system.
